		<description>It doesn&#039;t require Flex Builder, it only requires the Flex SDK.  You can still write pure AS3 and use the Flex compiler (mxmlc), which, by the way, is an insanely better compiler than the one that the Flash IDE uses.

FlashDevelop, the free and open-source Actionscript editor (incidentally, the best one available period), can compile your code into a swf  for you using the free Flex SDK and mxmlc compiler.

Since you&#039;re using AS3, you should really consider using meta embed tags for your visual assets instead of copying over folders in the Flash library.  Your super classes could have the embed tags and that would make it easy for anyone to create a new project.  No Flash required, no Flex Builder required.  :)</description>
