The installation seems to go fine up until the part where the install software asks which cs3 programs I want to install, then the list is shown, everything in the standard cs3 install is their, except illustrator, it's their but the option to install it isn't? anyone have the same issue? you can email me too if you have anything - calvingrand@hotmail.com

I found an article that helped me work around this crash. I also have to say that this is my worst installation yet. An hour each time, and 4 tries so far to install the darn illustrator. according to <a href="http://www.photo-i.co.uk/BB/viewtopic.php?p=28818&sid=ca79fd27d0ccce5f64a97a9edf2b72f1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">this site</a> it's a registry problem.

Basically you have to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.svg and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.svgz and give the system account complete rights on them. that's all he said, but i tried it and in my install log it failed again, because HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\Classes\.svg\OpenWithList\Illustrator.exe
wasn't given rights as well. So you might want to create that key yourself before wasting another hour attempting to get it to install.
